* Organizations that offer trips that travel must be completed anytime with an 18 month period but be paid for immediately. (This is usually a sign of a company that is going out of business and will leave before you travel is completed)

Here is a quick look at what the rental companies sell, what they charge, and how you can make intelligent decisions about the coverage you may need.

* Coverage can add as much as 46 percent of the base cost of your daily car rental.

* You might already be covered by your own car insurance plan. (Why pay double? Call         your car insurance company and ask them.
